Chemistry has always been a tough subject for me. I was doing badly in the subject up til sec 4, which was when I decided I needed help. I was introduced to Mrs Wong and Smart Tuition by a friend, and through her lessons I not only polished my chemistry concepts, but also gained more confidence in my academics with her constant encouragement and guidance. Her lessons were always fun, and the methods she taught for us made the immense amount of content easier to understand. She also went beyond working hours to answer any questions and clear up misunderstandings. Over the year of attending her lessons, I eventually managed to get an A in my 'O'-level examinations! Thank you Mrs Wong!! 

Tay Xin Ying: Chemistry, D7 to A1

 Miss Tay's lessons are extremely fun and enjoyable. I always disliked Math lessons in school because it’s boring, but at Smart Tuition, I’m always awake and paying attention. I understand the subject better as she takes the time to explain to us unlike at school, which helped build my courage to attempt more math questions. Miss Tay was very encouraging throughout my time here and was always patient when explaining to me my mistakes. I didn’t hate math anymore, and eventually even started loving it when I started to see my results improve. I will forever be grateful for Miss Tay as she not only helped me to improve my results, but made me feel more confident in my academics. 

Gina Wong: E math, F9 to A2

 Before joining Smart Tuition, I had been getting constant F9s and I’ve never thought of getting a grade higher than a pass, what’s more an A1. However, Mrs Lee believed every single one of us were capable of getting an A1, and this encouragement helped me to set an even higher goal for myself to achieve. Mrs Lee motivated me throughout the whole O level journey and ensured that we were all prepared for the actual examinations. Overall, I’m very thankful and grateful to Mrs Lee and Smart Tuition for helping me through this O level journey and for making this whole studying process a lot more bearable. 

Nafisah Ismail: Biology, F9 to A1

 The lessons here are extremely different from those in school as Mr Yong is able to make learning extremely enjoyable while still getting the job done. Personally I feel that it is very rare to find such a teacher, as many of them are either too focused on making the students learn the information required for exams and cut out all the fun or too relaxed and do not allow the student to learn effectively. But, Mr Yong is more like a friend than a teacher. Personally, I usually don’t ask questions as I am afraid that I will be looked down upon or even scolded if I do. However, Mr Yong is always approaching me and asking if I’m okay and whether I have clarifications, making sure that I’m up to speed with the rest of the class, and makes it so that I don’t have to approach him to ask questions myself. I think this is one aspect that has been incredibly helpful in my learning journey, and I am grateful for having such a kind and caring tutor.
